Passage to ASEAN (P2A) connects higher education institutions across Southeast Asia through academic exchange, cultural understanding, youth mobility, research collaboration, and regional engagement.

Passage to ASEAN is an ASEAN-recognized entity listed under “Think Tanks and Academic Institutions” in Annex 2 of the ASEAN Charter. Its Secretariat is operated from Da Nang, Viet Nam, and supports a regional network of universities and colleges.

Vision and Mission
Guided by ASEAN’s vision of peace and harmony, P2A promotes cultural appreciation, workforce development, research collaboration, and GloCal engagement.
Through GloCal engagement and innovative programs, P2A fosters cross-border mobility, interdisciplinary learning, workforce development, and research-driven innovation.

Milestones
P2A has grown from a university-led regional initiative into an ASEAN-recognized platform for academic and youth cooperation.

P2A was founded in 2012 by five ASEAN universities.
The network was recognized as the ASEAN Association of Universities and Colleges.
P2A was approved as an entity associated with ASEAN under Think Tanks and Academic Institutions.
P2A was permitted to operate with its headquarters at Duy Tan University in Da Nang.
