About the Ministry
The Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia is under the President's authority and is responsible to the President. It assists the President in administering government affairs in tourism as part of national development goals. The Ministry of Tourism is led by a Minister of Tourism, a position held by Ms. Widiyanti Putri since October 21, 2024.
The Ministry of Tourism has a vision to make Indonesia a world-class tourism destination. To achieve this vision, the Ministry has a mission to develop world-class tourism destinations and conduct tourist-oriented marketing. The Ministry also focuses on developing the environment and capacity of a highly competitive tourism industry in Indonesia.
